Dukans Get the app

Privacy Policy

Effective 10 July 2026

Dukans is a virtual try on app for Android, published by Dukans. This policy explains what data the app touches, where that data lives, and what choices you have. We have tried to keep it short and honest, because the app itself was designed so that we hold as little of your data as possible.

The short version

Photos and generated images

The model photos you upload or capture, the garment images you add, and every generated result are saved in the app's local storage on your phone. They are not uploaded to servers operated by Dukans, because we do not have any.

When you start a try on, the photos involved are transmitted to Google's AI services through your own Google session in order to generate the result. That transfer happens directly between your device and Google. Google's handling of this data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy and the terms of the Google AI services you sign in to.

You can delete any individual result inside the app, wipe everything with the built in cleanup tool, or remove all local data at once by uninstalling the app.

Your Google account

Dukans asks you to sign in to your own Google account inside a secure in app browser. Sign in happens directly with Google. We never see, transmit or store your password. The session that keeps you signed in is stored locally on your device, the same way a mobile browser remembers a login. Signing out inside the app, or uninstalling it, ends that session on your device.

Camera and photo permissions

The camera permission is used only when you choose to take a photo inside the app. Photo and media access is used only when you pick an image from your gallery. The app never scans your library in the background.

Usage analytics

The app sends anonymous usage events to Google Analytics, for example that a try on was started or that a garment image was added. These events contain no photos, no names and no email addresses. We use them to understand which features matter and to catch failures. If you would rather not be counted, most network level blockers respect that choice, and the app keeps working.

Diagnostics

To make failures debuggable, the app keeps a local log of each generation run, including step by step progress notes and small technical screenshots of the generation process. This diagnostic history is stored only on your device. You can export it manually if you want to share it with us for support, and the cleanup tool removes it.

What we do not do

Children

Dukans is not directed at children under 13, and you need a Google account to use it. If you believe a child has used the app in a way that concerns you, contact us and we will help where we can, though the data in question will be on the device itself.

Changes to this policy

If we change how the app handles data, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Meaningful changes will also be called out in the app's update notes on Google Play.
